的Backup Archive）和恢復資料用的(Recovery)與Oracle、DB2、SAP R/3、Formex
以及Domino等特殊軟體的應用軟體相互結合，當然這其中還包括Tivoli災難恢復管

IBM Tivoli Storage Manager enables you to protect your
organization data from failures and other errors by storing
backup, archive, space management and bare-metal restore data,
as well as compliance and disaster-recovery data in a hierarchy

Storage Manager can help protect computers running a variety of
different operating systems, on hardware ranging from notebooks
to mainframe computers and connected together through the
Internet, wide area networks (WANs), local area networks (LANs)
